A Yorkshire Welcome from the Dunne Family

We’re the Dunne family, and we’re proud to welcome you to Sleningford Watermill. We manage this beautiful independent caravan and camping park set beside the River Ure in North Yorkshire. The site has been warmly welcoming guests here since 1973. We look forward to sharing this fantastic riverside setting with those who love the outdoors as much as we do.

Over the past 50 years,  families, couples, walkers, cyclists, canoeists and anglers have been making happy memories here — with many returning year after year. Whether you’re here to explore the Yorkshire Dales, visit the North York Moors, or simply relax by the river, Sleningford offers the space, peace, and connection that only nature can provide.

Today, we’re proud to continue that tradition — caring for the land, the wildlife, and the people who visit. Our park has been recognised with the Blooming Marvellous Challenge, Tripadvisor’s Certificate of Excellence, and a Four Pennant AA rating, but what matters most to us is the sense of community that’s grown here over the decades.
