Terms & Conditions for Sleningford 🌿
Paddlers Terms & Conditions
These conditions apply to anyone paddling at Sleningford Watermill Caravan & Camping Park and are in addition to the general Park Terms & Conditions.
Access
- The paddling stretch runs along the park’s river frontage only.
- No access to the opposite riverbank — please respect our neighbours’ privacy.
- Access may be restricted depending on weather, visitor numbers or season.
Booking & Availability
- All rivers use bookings must be made in advance to avoid disappointment.
- No river access for day paddlers on Late May Bank Holiday or August Bank Holiday weekends (unless staying overnight).
- Bookings may be refused or cancelled at management’s discretion; notice will be given where possible.
- At least one person per booking must be 18+; under-18s must be supervised.
- No charge for cancellations, but please let us know if you are unable to attend.
Payment
- Pay on the day by cash or card.
- In winter, you must pre book as the facilities and gates will be closed.
Safety & Liability
- Moving water is dangerous — paddlers enter the river and millrace at their own risk.
- You must carry out your own risk assessment before each visit.
- The site may be unstaffed in winter.
- Vehicles and belongings are left at owners’ risk.
Facilities
- Closed season: courtyard facilities available for changing.
- Open season (1 Apr–31 Oct): courtyard and pyramid block facilities ( closed in low season)
Arrival & Parking
- Check in at reception before using the river.
- Vehicles must be parked in the courtyard unless directed otherwise.
